THE LEAGUE OF THE GLOBAL SOUTH

Image
(Photo source: Google images) From East versus West during the Cold war, today the North-South divide is a political reality. The global North is already a united political block. Thus Africa must formally initiate the formation of a League of the Global South. Hussein Lumumba Amin Kampala, Uganda

HUMANITY MUST GIVE ITSELF A BOLDER CLIMATE CHALLENGE!

Image
Rehabilitation of the earth's climate will only start in 100 years given the climate goals that countries have set for themselves today. This means that researchers must find another method to contain the climate disaster much sooner. A method that in principal is safe, and cools the planet without first requiring distant net-zero targets or impossible carbon emission reductions.  A measure that averts climate Armageddon today. Not in 100 years after millions of people have already lost their lives and livelihoods due to extreme weather events. That's the challenge I put to leaders, innovators, AI specialists, and climate enthusiasts. History shows that in 1962, US President John F. Kennedy challenged his country that before the decade is over, America should put a man on the moon and bring him safely back to earth. And it happened! Today the world must do the same and make a united effort from scratch to stop climate change and reverse global warming... within...

REMEMBERING DR. PAUL KAWANGA SSEMWOGERERE (FEB 1932-NOV 2022)

In an earlier phone call I had told my father that I was thinking about registering and voting in that election. Indeed I had seen the electoral officials registering citizens not far from our gate, and my father was glad that I was taking my civic duties seriously as a citizen of Uganda. Mr. Ssemwogerere stood as a presidential candidate in that election and lost. He however remained true to his values until his last breath. But for me his biggest contribution to democracy was that he had ran in that specific election, especially given that these were uncertain times of widespread population misery and acute mass poverty, a 9pm-5am curfew had been on for 10 years, Local Defense Unit gunshots could be heard in the middle of every night and the victims remains disappeared by dawn, bo...

COWCOIN FOR CLIMATE REPARATIONS!

Image
I think Africa is being indirectly asked to demand climate reparations from cows. The white man is deeply concerned that it is cows farting too much, and the cumulative methane emissions from global cow farting is what is raising the world's average temperature by 1.5 degrees, thereby melting polar ice sheets, raising sea water levels, and causing extreme weather events like floods and droughts across Africa.
